The pallets can either be single shot or multiple-pieces. Single-shot pallets are cheaper to produce, while multi-piece pallets are more complex and expensive. However, multiple-piece pallets offer better strength and are more durable. With multiple-piece pallets, the rib structure on top and the bottom deck, feet and sides are optimized in one mold. In addition, the various parts can be manufactured using different thicknesses and resins.
